China Glaze Road Trip Travel Sized Review!

I picked up this cute mini set of China Glaze Road Trip a while ago.

This set consists of so many cute colors! I want to show you what I created with these colourful hues!

When you have a set like this, you feel like a kid with a new paint set!

For this look, I first painted my nails with China Glaze Boho Blues. I used the direct decal method to stamp various flower designs from MoYou London Explorer Collection 03. I used pretty much all the colors from this set to color in the flowers!

This set includes the following colors; Boho Blues (light blue cream), Trip of a Lime Time (lime green cream), My Way or the Highway (teal green cream), Dashboard Dreamer (light blue shimmer), Pinking Out the Windows (pink cream), and I Brake For Colour (red/pink cream). All the colors except Dashboard Dreamer are cream and provide good coverage. Dashboard Dreamer is rather sheer with pinkish shimmer in it, which didn't show much when I used in the design. I'll be interested to see how it looks on its own.

I have been using the direct decal method a lot recently. You can see the other designs I did, using this method here, here, and here. The tutorial will come up next week. I promise!!

Did you get any colors from China Glaze Road Trip collection? What do you think of them?

Lavender Festival!

I visited a local lavender festival last week!

I love lavender and use it for cooking as well. This bunch is harvested from my garden!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Boxer Shorts (periwinkle) and Essie Chillato (pale yellow). I used Bundle Monster plate BM-702 for stamping, using Essie Boxer Shorts as stamping polish. Simple but appropriate for the occasion!

I have been going to this lavender festival for a couple of years now. You can see what nails I had last year here

Here is my beloved daughter posing in the field of lavenders!

Do you like lavender?

Bold Pattern and Mango

It is summer and you have to have some bold and fun look!

I haven't had the opportunity to use this Messy Mansion plate, so I thought it would be perfect for this bold black and white pattern.

For this look, I first painted my nails with China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin (mango) and Sally Hansen Ivory Skull (white). I stamped design from Messy Mansion plate LL A1, using Mundo de Unas #2 (black).

I was thinking of going with black and white but in the end I felt like wanting a bright color in my look. This China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin is a very fun color. It almost looks neon!

Are you going for bold looks this summer?

Lovely Yellow!

My beloved daughter just graduated! I'm so proud of her accomplishment!! And this is the nail look I wore for the ceremony! For occasion like this, you don't want anything too much. I was almost going with just simply using one color (my favorite of the moment, Essie Chillato!) but couldn't resist the temptation to do one stamp. I really enjoyed the combination of Essie Chillato and Essie Petal Pusher here. So, I decided to go with that combination again.

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Chillato (pale yellow) and Essie Petal Pusher (medium gray). I used Bundle Monster plate BM-716 and Mundo de Unas #12 for stamping.

I really like the subtle design.

I'm glad that Mundo de Unas #12 is very close color to Essie Chillato. I would love to use Essie Chillato as stamping color but it is just too sheer for that purpose.

Do you enjoy subtle designs?
