Christmas Sweater!

Simple but Christmas nail design for you today!

I finally got a hold of Essie Maki Me Happy. That means I bought all colors from Essie Fall 2016 collection. I just love all these beautiful colors!!

I don't usually wear reds and that is one of the reasons I didn't buy Essie Maki Me Happy initially. But Christmas is the great time to wear reds, right?

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Maki Me Happy (red). I stamped the sweater pattern from Nailz Craze plate 03. I used MoYou London White Knight for stamping.

Are you all ready for Christmas?

First Anniversary!

Wow! It's been a year since I started this blog!! I am surprised but also quite proud that I kept going for a year. I started this blog so that I can preserve my nail designs somewhat. I wanted to have some record of each designs I do so that I can go back and find out what color I used and what designs I chose if I wanted to recreate the look. I didn't set too ambitious schedule to post everyday but rather kept at once a week post with a few extra posts here and there. Maybe that was the secret to keep going.

Looking back this past year, here are some of my favorite looks!

My highlight of this past year definitely was the entry to the contest hosted by Chitchat Nails. Though I didn't win, I was short-listed by my favorite nail blogger, Marta! Read the original post here.

I find myself choosing a lot of black and white designs. I just love the simplicity and the crisp look. This design is one of my favorites!

The purchase of OPI Mini Sheer Tints was the one of the best decisions! Check the original post here.

I loved this nautical design and enjoyed wearing the look for a while...

Here is another design I used OPI Sheer Tints. I did the design on my beloved daughter's nails. I did a few twin posts with her and I think I finally got her into nail stamping! I really enjoyed getting her involved on my posts. But do not forget my beloved son! He inspired me for this nail design here!

This was a fun design! My nails don't look great (earlier days...) and my picture quality is sad (iphone 4!), but I enjoyed the design a lot.

I think I came the long way! My picture quality improved mid-year with the new iphone 5S camera and I even started Instagram!

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you keep coming back!

Sweater Weather!

We are having this deep-freeze weather this week! It is so cold out like ridiculous! Better to stay in if you can or if you must go out, make sure you have a cozy warm sweater like this!

I must go out with the matching mani appropriate for the sweater weather!

For this look, I first painted my nails with OPI My Vampire Is Buff (off white) and Essie Cashmire Bathrobe (dark grey). I stamped a snowflake sweater pattern design from Nailz Craze plate NC 03 with Konad Black pearl stamping polish.

I like the simple black and white design like this. And the sweater pattern matches my very warm lamb's wool sweater perfectly!! I love the look even to the point that I don't mind venturing out in snow and ice to show them off!!!

Are you having cold weather? What is your favorite winter nail designs?

Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Peacock Feather

A little grown-up look for you this week!

I somehow bought a few similar polish last fall. OPI Just Spotted The Lizard, Color Club Editorial, and Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Plume. And somehow never had a chance to use any of them... I had the idea of using this color with the peacock pattern though. The color shifts of this duo chrome make me think of the peacock feather...

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Stylenomics (very dark almost black green) and OPI Just Spotted The Lizard. I stamped the large peacock design from Nailz Craze plate NC 01, using OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby.

For my right hand, I reversed the colors. Stamped on Just Spotted The Lizard with Konad Black Pearl stamping polish.

I like both right and left hand versions equally!! How about you?

Spring time! Jk... Jk...

Today's post title was chosen by my beloved daughter! First day of Spring past and we still have snow?? Seriously?

Well, at least my nails look springy...

For this look, first I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ivory Skull (white) and Ceramic Glaze Pineapple Breeze (yellow) to paint my nails. Then, I stamped the floral pattern from Nailz Craze plate NC 03 with Konad Black Pearl stamping polish.

The inspiration came from the bedding in the background. Do you see?

I wonder if we ever get Spring here... Do you see any sign of Spring in your area? Do you sport Springy colors or designs on your nails?

St. Patrick's Day Nails

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here is the design I did to celebrate this Irish holiday.

First I painted my nails with Essie The More The Merrier (light green), Essie Vested Interest (dark green), and OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby (gold satin finish). For stamping, I used the Irish Claddagh ring image from Bundle Monster BM-418, the Celtic clover image from Bundle Monster BM-403, and all over clover image from Nailz Craze plate NC01. I used Konad Black Pearl and Nails inc. Chelsea Bridge Road as stamping colors.

Nice Springy colors! (despite the cold weather we are still having...)

Here is my right hand.

Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

Dandelions

Here is the look my beloved daughter chose for her nails this week.

I first painted her nails with OPI My Vampire Is Buff and Essie Boxer Shorts. And I stamped dandelion design from Nailz Craze plate NC 01 using Konad Black Pearl stamping polish.

Slight variation on her right hand.

Essie Boxer Shorts is periwinkle color. In the picture, it looks more bluish for some reason... In life, it has some lavender tone and looks kind of springy. We just can't wait for Spring!!!

Do you have any color you like to use in Spring season?

Butterfly Nails

We are having such a long harsh weather this winter in our area... I just can't wait for nice spring to arrive. So, to send my wish to the universe, here are my butterfly nails!

For this look, first I painted my nails with Color Club Harp on It and Essie Blue Rhapsody. Then, I stamped butterfly wing design from Nailz Craze plate NC 01 using Konad Black Pearl stamping polish. I used a dotting tool to place little dots on tips with Harp on It and Sally Hansen Extreme Wear White On.

I wore a butterfly ring to complete the look!

Color Club Harp on It is very beautiful holographic polish. I just got this polish and I am hoping to use it as a stamping color very soon. I think it will look wonderful over dark polish!

Which holographic polish is your favorite?

Fun with Matryoshka Dolls

I just got my new stamping plates from Nailz Craze and I had to test them out!!

I think this is going to be one of my favorite looks of all!

For this look, I painted my nails with OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby. (gold) and OPI 4 in the Morning (black). Using Nailz Craze plate NC 03, I stamped the flower pattern on my ring finger and the mid-size Matryoshka doll on my middle finger. The thumb was stamped using the lower half of the large Matryoshka doll. I used Konad black pearl as stamping color. Then I used OPI Off With Her Red! (red) and a dotting tool to paint little dots here and there on the images.

For my right hand, I stamped the flower design on my ring finger and pinky, and on my thumb I stamped the upper half of the large Matryoshka doll.

So, this is the fun part. Look what happens...

Isn't it fun?

I shouldn't take the full credit for this though. I got the idea from Nailz Craze here

Isn't this plate adorable? You can find out more about Nailz Craze here

I really like the way it came out. It's not too much and still quite wearable.

Do you like this design as much as I do?

Little Dot
