Minty Green Subtleness - Absolutely Shore!

I was eyeing on Essie Absolutely Shore for a while. I probably picked it up and put it back at the store at least 4-5 times... My hesitation was based on the reviews about the application being difficult (very sheer and needs many coats, etc. ) However, my curiosity got to me and I finally bought it. And I'm glad I did!

Absolutely Shore is very pale minty green. In the picture, it looks more grey but in real life, it is very pretty pale mint. I was pleasantly surprised that the application was pretty good. Only two coats!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Absolutly Shore and OPI It's Frosty Outside. I stamped a few designs from MoYou London Princess Collection 08 with Konad white stamping polish. I wanted to create a look that is clean, delicate and subtle.

I actually thought it would be more pale because many swatches I saw on other people's blogs looked very pale and almost grey-white in some pictures. On my nails, it definitely looks clean mint green and not grey. I guess it is really hard to show the true color in pictures.

It seems I'm on pastel mood lately. I should try something more colorful next week to break the cycle. Mmm... We will see...

More Truth or Flare

I am still loving Essie Truth or Flare quite a bit. So when my nails needed to be painted again, I reached for the bottle!

I love this dusty blue shade!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Truth or Flare and OPI My Vampire Is Buff. I used a rose design from MoYou London Princess Collection 09 with Konad Black Pearl to stamp on accent nails. I also used Bundle Monster plate BM-405 to stamp the writing design with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Silver Sweep on a few of blue nails.

Do you love this blue? What is the color you are crazy about?

Fun Experiment with OPI Sheer Tints!

This is the look I created for my beloved daughter this past week.

After stamping the designs, I decided to play with OPI Sheer Tints to see what fun things we can do!

For this look, I first painted her nails with Essie Funday Sunday (coral orange) and Essie Where's My Chauffeur (turquoise green). I stamped designs from MoYou London Pro collection 04 with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. Then I colored the flowers with OPI Sheer Tint Be Magentale With Me (pink sheer tint) and the leaves with I'm Never Amberrased (yellow sheer tint).

We really loved the result! I am so glad that I bought the mini tint set.

This is really a fun way to change the look of the stamped design. Because it is sheer, you don't have to be too precise with application. You could use a small nail art brush or a dotting tool but I just used the brush from the bottle directly and it was just fine. The pink sheer tint over blue base made the flowers purplish and the yellow tint over blue made the leaves light green!

We are quite happy with the result and I'm looking forward to using them for other designs!

Have you tried OPI Sheer Tints? Do you know any other fun ways to use these top coats?

Enchanted Roses

I went shopping last night for midi rings. And I bought bunch (my OCD again...) I got the inspiration for my nails from one of the rings, the one with a white rose!

I also wanted to try Butter London Cream Tea!

I first painted my nail with Butter London Cream Tea (white) and OPI L.A.M.B. (gold). I used Pueen plate 64 to stamp roses.

I must say that it was a bit of pain painting Cream Tea... It is very sheer and I put 3 coats but maybe the 4th coat is needed if you are not stamping. My original idea was to leave a couple of nails unstamped so that I can enjoy Cream Tea alone. But after 3 coats, I have decided to stamp on all white nails!

Bonus! It matches my purse!!

My beloved daughter said to me when she looked at my nails, "That reminds me of the beauty and the beast! Belle's gold dress and the enchanted rose!" That's where I got the title for today's post!

Do you like white and gold combination? Do you wear midi rings?
