Bright Blue and Dandelion!

I reviewed Essie Resort 2016 a while ago hereThis collection is inspired by India! I already posted an Indian inspired nails here! My favorit is Taj-ma-haul (earthy orange) but I also used Going Guru quite a bit here and here

This time I used Nama-stay the Night (bright blue)!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Nama-stay the Night (bright blue). I used dandelion designs from MoYou London Pro Collection 04 and Konad white for stamping.

I really like the simple design of the dandelions. I used similar dandelion design on my beloved daughter's nails before here but I haven't had a chance to try it for myself until now.

Have you used Essie Resort collection 2016? Which color is your favorit?

OPI Color Paints Mini Set Review!

I saw OPI Color Paints mini set at local store for $9.99, so I bought it! This collection came out last year around the same time as Essie Silk Watercolor collection. They were both similar so I didn't get the OPI one but I can't pass a good bargain!

After some planning, I have decided to go with a free-hand design!

For this look, I first painted my nails with OPI Silver Canvas Undercoat. I used OPI Primarily Yellow, OPI Chromatic Orange, and OPI Turquoise Aesthetic, to randomly add brush stokes here and there.

This set consists of the following colors; Silver Canvas Undercoat, Primarily Yellow, Chromatic Orange, Pen & Pink, Purple Perspective, and Turquoise Aesthetic. You suppose to first use Silver Canvas Undercoat as the base color and top with your color of choice.

The box says "Blendable Nail Lacquer", but I didn't find them to blend that well. On my nails, there are some spots that colors overlap but those parts only look darker rather than making them blended color (such as yellow + blue = green effect). I think I still like Essie Silk Watercolor better. I did the reviews for Essie one here and here if you want to compare. And I also used it in the design here. But overall you can probably use both sets interchangeably.

Do you own OPI Color Paints or Essie Silk Warercolor? What kind of designs have you used them for?

Light Pink!

I almost felt like doing a nude mani but chose to use very light pink for this look.

The light pink I used is Essie Just Stitched. This is from Cashmere Matte collection a while back. It is actually satin matte finish but I topped it with a glossy top coat for my look.

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Just Stitched (satin matte light pink). I stamped a couple of designs from MoYou London plate Princess Collection 09 with Konad black stamping polish.

I did quite intensive review on Essie Cashmere Matte collection in my post here if you want to check it out!

Sometimes you feel like muted toned mani! Do you like this look?

OPI Take a Right on Bourbon

I did the review of OPI New Orleans mini set while back here. I finally had a chance to use Take a Right on Bourbon!

OPI Take a Right on Bourbon is champaine color metallic. Quite pretty on it's own. I didn't want to distract too much from this color so I kept stamping to minimum.

For this look, I first painted my nails with OPI Take a Right on Bourbon (champaine metallic). I used designs from Bundle Monster plate BM-XL120 and Konad black stamping polish.

Color like this tend to show brush strokes but it was alright. I think I probably like to wear this polish without any stamping to just enjoy the color. Or maybe with subtle gradient mani with light green or blue...

Have you tried OPI New Orleans collection? What is your thought?
