Double Stamping Patterns!

To tell you the truth, I struggled with the inspiration for today's mani for a while. I started to look through the stamping plates last night but not quite inspired with any of them... And I looked through my polish pile, looking for some sparks of inspiration but no avail...

This morning I just decided to pick a color and just go with whatever comes up in my head. My pick was Essie Petal Pushers.

Well, in the end, I'm actually loving this design!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Petal Pushers (medium grey). I used Bundle Monster plate BM-S110 and stampted all of my nails, using China Glaze History of the World (smoky navy) as stamping polish. For accent nails, I stamped a few henna designs from MoYou London Explorer plate 03, using Konad White stamping polish.

The double stamping really makes the designs stand out. I intentionally picked the first stamping color similar to back ground color to create the subtle layer of stamped surface. And I decided to add high contrast color, white, to accent a few nails. I am quite satisfied with the result!

I haven't done double stamping for a while but now I like the look so much, I should be using this method often!

Do you like the layered look of this design?

Trip Around The World - Africa

As I mentioned while back, my beloved daughter is spending her summer in Africa! She sends me some pictures time to time like this one!

So, I decided to do African themed nails this week!

It is probably difficult to see in the pictures but I have a girrafe stamp on my left thumb! And the gold stamp on my ring finger is the continent of Africa!

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Urban Jungle (beige white) and Essie Partner In Crime (dark brown). I used various African themed designs from MoYou London plate Explorer Collection 23. I used Nails Inc. Chelsea Bridge Road (gold foil) and Konad white as stamping polish.

Slightly different design on my right hand!

More girrafes!

And elephants!

What do you think of African designs?

Simple

I can't believe how busy my schedule is this summer! I'm away a lot. I was away for two days last week (to a city 3 hours away) and I was away this past week to another city 7 hours away! And a lot going on our lives right now! So simple is good, comes to my nail design.

Very simple design. Just one color for all nails and quick stamp on a few nails.

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Boxer Shorts (periwinkle). I stamped designs from Bundle Monster plate BM-S109.

Just so you know, my post may be sporadic for the next while. I am still intending to post weekly, however, it's been really crazy here. I usually like to stock up a couple of posts ready to go but due to my busy schedule, I'm pretty much loading a post as I do my nails. And we are still planning a trip to Japan in September for about 3 weeks and I don't think I will be bringing all my nail stuff with me. So you might not see a new post in September for a while...

I hope you are having a relaxed summer!! I'm hoping the things will calm down for the coming few weeks!

Roses!

Roses are flowering and plants are growing everywhere in my yard!

I have been so busy lately and my garden has been neglected though...

For this look, I first painted my nails with Essie Urban Jungle (creamy white). I used Pueen plate 73 for design. I used OPI I'm Sooo Swampted! (green) and OPI Off With Her Red! (red) as stamping polish.

I don't usually stamp all of my nails but since my plants are growing all over the place, hey, why not!

Are you a gardener? How's your garden looking?

Summer Flower Nails!

It's been hot here! Finally summer!

I like this orange, OPI It's a Piazza Cake!

For this look, I first painted my nails with OPI It's a Piazza Cake (burnt orange). I used the flower design from Bundle Monster plate BM-XL112 and Konad white stamping polish for stamping. I added yellow dots for centers of flowers with Nubar Spotlight.

Nice summer flower design, I think! And I'm like orange all over this summer! Orange dresses, orange purses, orange nails!

Do you like bold color in summer?
